Ghosts of The Union Hotel

Picture this. Sacramento is a wild west town at the entrance to the Goldfields. The population has exploded overnight. The streets fill with wagons, horses, and dust. The year is 1850 and the newly opened Union Hotel sits as a silent witness to the masses pouring into Sacramento seeking fortune. Join us for an evening of scary fun as we explore the history of this 150-year old hotel and Sacramento’s finest citizens who may come back for a drink now and then.

We’ll kick off the evening in our bar overlooking Old Sacramento.
Step back in time to watch our own production of the History of The Union Hotel. We’ll enjoy a theatrical-version of a Penny Dreadful Seance. Then we’ll explain the equipment we use and why. With your tour guide, you’ll be given access to a secret stairwell, where a mischievous ghost stomps up and down the stairs. Visit a room where the infamous Scarlet Letter was penned. Investigate our ballroom where a beautiful ghost is said to dance to music and will sometimes let you photograph her. Step inside an elevator where a young child may tug on your hand. And if we’re really lucky, we’ll visit the most haunted basement on the West Coast. We’ll wrap up the evening in the Lounge for coffee and cake. Join us for an evening of entertainment and fun.

Dates coming soon! e-mail your parties names to preservationghosthunts@gmail.com to be added to our interest list.
